MDA: creating a relationship between two virtual tables from SPO

I am trying to create a relationship between the above two lists "Supplier" and "Products".

I have followed the guide here: Setting up relationships with virtual tables with Power Apps - Power Apps | Microsoft Learn

However it applies to a use case of one native and one virtual table.

I am able to get the lookup to work as intended but cant seem to figure out how the values can be saved, and keep getting: ".... response 400 ...the passed-in field could not be found..."

If I follow the example strictly it would mean the "external Name" should be the name of the column in the table that is being looked up - is that correct? In this case the SPO title field?

Would appreciate if anyone has any pointers on this.

I have the same question (0)

I don't think there's a direct way to do this, but here's what you could try:

Starting with the table that has a lookup to the other, you could send the data necessary to do the virtual table Retrieve of the related record in a String column. Then, in OnLoad JS, you could read that data and use it to insert a fake value into a placeholder lookup (A PCF could also do this, but it is more code).

The end result being that the lookup doesn't actually exist, but your user doesn't know the difference because they still get a lookup-ish field that says the name of the related thing and they can click on it to navigate.
