Hi ,

I want to create a simple copilot chatbot which will upload file provided by user in sharepoint library.
I created an agent and added to "Create File" sharepoint tool.

When I try to configure Sharepoint Site Address , it doesn't allow me.
Following is the snapshot.

Kindly let me know what I am doing wrong and how this Site address can be enabled

    Thank your for choosing Power Platform Community.

    You have the right idea (agent + SharePoint “Create file” tool) but this is blocked because the Site Address selector is disabled/not accepting input.

    Try these out:

    -Ensure a SharePoint connection is created and authorized in the same environment as the agent.
    -Confirm you have access to at least one SharePoint site; the Site Address dropdown typically only populates for sites you can reach.
    -Check data loss prevention (DLP) policies and connection references that might lock fields.
    -Try re-adding the tool after creating the connection, or typing a custom site URL if allowed.

    Let me know which worked.

    If this fixes the issue, please mark as resolved to help others with find it.

    Happy to help

    Hi - I had a similar issue with all SharePoint tools and I think it's a bug.

    I managed to workaround it by exporting the agent as a solution, unzipping the solution file, and updating the details of the tool and reimporting the solution to the environment. The Site field then becomes editable after you reload the tool in the agent editor in copilot studio.

    E.g. ensure you have the following section within the 'data' file of the tool:

    inputs:
      - kind: ManualTaskInput
        propertyName: dataset
        value: {YourSitePath}

    Full data file content:

    kind: TaskDialog
    inputs:
      - kind: ManualTaskInput
        propertyName: dataset
        value: {YourSitePath}

    modelDisplayName: Get file content using path
    modelDescription: Gets file contents using the file path.
    outputs:
      - propertyName: Response
    action:
      kind: InvokeConnectorTaskAction
      connectionReference: {YourConnectionReference}
      connectionProperties:
        mode: Invoker
      operationId: GetFileContentByPath
    outputMode: All

    Here is a very good explanation and fix for this issue, there is a workaround how you can other way pass your site URL:
