Issue with Variable Availability in Copilot Studio Flow

Greetings,

I've been troubleshooting an issue in Copilot Studio and wanted to share it here in hopes of identifying a solution. The problem arises later in the topic flow I'm building for an agent, where a variable—although visibly created and listed in the Variables tab—cannot be selected or referenced in subsequent nodes.

What’s particularly odd is that this issue doesn’t occur earlier in the same topic. Despite the variable being set in a multiple choice question node, I’m unable to use it in a message or condition node that follows. I’ve attempted several workarounds, including renaming the variable, recreating the nodes, and refreshing the topic, but the issue persists.

Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

As a workaround, I'm able to select the variable if I set it as a global variable where it's being initialized inside of the question node.

Can you please click on the Variable, and show the configuration of it, to make sure its set to be access correctly (just in case its somehow jacked up or jilled up to be fair).

Also, if your Question set to Skipable?

Or if you remove the condition. Save, refresh the Topic, then add the condition back, does it work?

One last little test instead of a condition if you add a send message under the question, can you add it there?

The properties shown in the image I've attached are the properties that are currently applied to the variable and appear to be working....I wasn't able to select the variable with these properties until after I set it as a global variable (Just checked the option, leaving everything else default). I later on attempted to the variable back to a topic (limited scope) variable which I was able to do not problem. So I'm not totally sure what exactly my issue was and how doing what I did resolve it....perhaps could be a bug in the studio itself when working within a topic?
