Clear Previous Manually Input Data In Form

Hi there

Hope someone can help me please

I have an app that essentially enables you to do 2 things with 2 x forms

The app allows users to create an arrangement and write back to the DW, this is great if one hasnt been created before, as all the manual input fields are blank.  Once they have created one it appears in the data table. So they now have the option to amend that which again writes back to the DW. All of which is done by buttons

The problem I have is that when they then have the option to create a new arrangement for the same person I if one has alreadsy been created), it correctly takes them to the other form but it still has the previously manually input information

Is there a way of clearing the previously input info but keep the harcoded stuff i.e. Name , address . See below screenshots. Apologies for what looks like scribbles

Any help would be really appreciated

Many thanks

Karen

    Hi @KarenF ,

What you can do is to set the Default property of the DataCardValue controls to something like:

    Coalesce(Parent.Default, Form1.LastSubmit.'Main Tenant Name')

In the above you need to change Form1 for the name of your form and it only applies to the Main Tenant Name field. For other fields, you need to update the column name to match the name of the field.

    Hi @BCBuizer

So sorry for late reply, finished for the weekend

Thank you so much for your reply.

Its not working and I can see why.

There can be multiple arrangements started for the same person, so it will input the last submit value. So instead of clearing to blank, if the last submit value for an agreement payment value was ÂŁ5 its inputting ÂŁ5 😞

I want it to override any previously manually input value.

Also sadly it doesnt work for Date selections and dropdowns.

Any more of your help would be really appreciated

    Thank you

    Kind regards

    Karen

    Hi @BCBuizer

I think its just as simple as changing the DataCardValue from Parent.Default to "". Works so far for me 🙂

    Thanks for your help

    Kind regards

    Hi @KarenF ,

I may have misunderstood your requirements previously. So you wish for users to continuously update the same item? If yes, you can just clear the Default/DefaultDate/DefaultSelectedItems property of the DataCardValue.
