Adding Data to Master Table from Another Tables (Like Vlookup in Excel)

Hi,

 

I am new to Dataverse, I have few tables for example, User_Details, User_Address, User_Contact etc.

 

The user is having a unique id, and the same id is there in each table and the information associated with that. Below the snap.

I want to have a table where all the information to be consolidated like vlookup in excel. Below the snap.

Can anyone please help how to achieve this?

    1. keep your user_detials as-is
    2. all the other tables where you are using "ID", you have to create a column of type "lookup" and the looked up table will be user_details.

     

    Now you can create a view between two or more tables as shown here.

    now the tables become related entities, you can select the related entity and choose columns.

    hello,

     

    I have the same issue. I created a relationship (lookup) between 2 tables.

    When I create a view, i can choose all the columns of the related table.

    But when I open the view, the field is empty. It is just being filled, when i select one record and search a value in the lookup-field.  .... i´ve been working with MS Access for more than 20 years, i´m confused  😉

    hi,

    the problem above is still unsolved. I need a connection btwn 2 tables.

    table 1: there are the objects (vehicles). IANr is primary key

    table 2: budget - once again IANr is primary key, some columns with milages, costs etc ...

    i´d like to display some information from table 1 (Kennzeichen, Abteilung ...)

    is this possible - at least in a view?
