Phone Number Field Not Displaying in Customized SharePoint form

I am currently experiencing an issue with a SharePoint list that is integrated with Power Apps form. The form functions correctly when creating a new item; however, when I try to edit or view an existing item, the Phone Number field appears blank, despite being populated in the list column.

Could you please advise on how to ensure the Phone Number field is displayed correctly and not blank when editing or viewing the items in the form?

I am very desperate to finding a solution to this issue. I've been trying to find solution to this issue for weeks. I don't know why the Phone Number always goes blank when I try to edit it in SharePoint.

Below are the detail pictures of the problem:

  • When editing the form in SharePoint, the Phone Number field displays as blank.

  • The default value for the Phone Number field in Power Apps seems to be set correctly as "Parent.Default"

    Hi,

    In edit forms the input fields pull their starting data from the containers that they are in. Could you please reply with the formula contained within the Default field the DataCard that that input is in? From there I may be able to help troubleshoot what is not linked correctly.

    Thanks!

    Hello @level36 ,

    Thank you responding to my post.

    The Default field for the DataCard that the input is in is set as "Parent.Default".

    I also want to mention that I used the slider, text input, along with the the datacard input to format the phone number (format with dashes). I made the slider and text input invisible. I will put down the instruction that I followed to achieve this. However, I don't think this is the cause for the phone number being blank in the edit mode in SharePoint.

    Is it possible that the Default field for the DataCard "Parent.Default" is causing this issue? If so, how can I fix the issue?

    Please I really need help.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

    Looking at the Mathew Devaney post you linked it looks like the card default value should be varPhoneNumber if you used the same variable names as were used in the guide. Make sure that you also have the following code set in the selection that allows you to edit records.
    EditForm(frm_Contact);
    Set(varContactCurrent, ThisItem);
    Set(varPhoneNumber, ThisItem.PhoneNumber);

    Hello @level36 ,

    I actually set the card value to varPhoneNumber as shown below but the issue is still the same.

    For the OnSelect, my form don't seem to have the OnSelect options. I don't know if that's because it's an integraded form or something else.

    This issue is very frustrating because I can't seem to pinpoint what's causing only the Phone Number to be blank. The rest of the fields seem to be working perfectly fine even on edit.

    Would you suggest I remove the Phone number text input and replace it? Or could it be that the issue is in SharePoint and not Power apps?

    Both SharePoint and Power Apps mode is set to "Single Item" text.

    • DataCard Default set to "varPhoneNumber"

    • No option for "OnSelect" on the form
