We’re sorry. You cannot directly do 'Update' operation to 'msdyn_projecttask

Hello folks!

I am attempting to get Microsoft Project Accelerated updated for my environment. Someone else set this up who no longer works for the company I am a part of. I have been able to add all the current work we are doing into projects, but when I look at the PowerBI reports, it shows information that is no longer current and is no longer in MPA. My question is how do I get this updated? I have tried going into the tables in PowerApps and get the dreaded "We’re sorry. You cannot directly do 'Update' operation to 'msdyn_projecttask. Try editing it through the resource editing UI via Project." The issue is I have no clue what it's talking about or how to access the resource editing UI. Does anyone have any experience with this? I am hoping I won't need to completely rebuild the reporting, but I feel that is the direction I am heading. TIA

I dont have experience with this solution specifically, but im guessing it’s just a customized set of tables and code on top of dataverse with a model-driven app.  If thats the case, create a new solution for your customization in the power apps maker portal. Add the project task table to the solution in order to customize the table.

if you’re simply trying to run the app to add project data, run the model driven app for this solution, ‘play’ it from the maker portal and add the appropriate data.

Hi @ivan_apps, Thank you for your reply!

My goal is to update a table that contains Project Tasks. The issue I am running into is that I can't edit the table without a warning popping up that will not let me edit the table. I explored creating a new solution but that didn't seem to be working. Ultimately, I need to figure out where the "resource editing UI via Project" is, as that is apparently where I need to go, to delete old information.
