So I am creating a form in PowerApps and i want to have text permanently displayed in a text box, an example would be:

Q.

What steps did you take to achieve this?

A.

Step 1:

Step 2:

Step 3:

So I am looking Steps 1-3 being displayed within the text box with the user being unable to delete them (So having them in as default doesn't work). Is there a way to achieve this desired effect, or will I have to find a workaround?

Thanks in Advance.

You cannot make text inside of a text box permanent if the text box is editable.

    My workaround is:
Put the text in a label beside the Text Input. Then change the UPDATE property of the form to some code like this to insert “Step 1: “ at the start when saving to the database.

    “Step 1: “&DataCardValue_Answer1

You can make sure the text “Step 1:” is not displayed in the form by changing the DEFAULT field to this code

    Substitute(ThisItem.Step1,”Step 1:”,””)
