Hi all,
I'm having an issue with fonts. In edit/preview mode, the fonts are nice and big and fit the screen...however when I use the app on my personal iPhone, the fonts shrink especially Segoe UI and it's almost unreadable. How do I stop the fonts from shrinking?
This has to do with the way you have the app configuration setup. Most likely you have turned off the 'Scale to fit' and/or 'Lock aspect ratio' settings under the Display section of the Settings screen:
While this may appear fine on your computer screen, phone and tablet screens tend to have much denser pixels than computer screens. One way to check before publishing is to use the Screen Sizer tool in the upper right of the app when in play mode.
One way to adjust your font size for various screen sizes is by using the Screen.Size property value which is determined by your App.SizeBreakpoints property:
This is auto-set at 600, 900, and 1200 pts, meaning Screen.Size:
This means that you can dynamically adjust your FontSize property value by using a Switch() function based on the Screen.Size property.
In the case above I used the following:
Switch(Screen1.Size, 1, 12, 2, 15, 3, 18, 24)Which gives me the following experience where the dynamically-sized text is in light blue:
