Date fields in Excel on One Drive for Business not appearing

Hi there,

I am having an issue with date fields I think is being caused but the One Drive for Business connector. I have been happily developing an app that connect to an Excel file on OneDrive, with the fields populating from the source data as required. However, I am now trying to connect to date fields in the data source and the output appear Blank.

I uploaded the same excel file as a static data source and the dates pull through as expected on my app.

Does anyone know if this is a known issue with the connector or am I doing something wrong?!?! All help appreciated.

hi @PDiddly it is an issue (not you ;)), create another column (say datetext) in your excel sheet and add the function Text as, =TEXT(B2,"mm/dd/yyyy") B being your date column, and make sure that column (datetext) is number format is General.

Very frustrating! I’m liking PowerApps and have already built an application that is helping my small team work better. I hope MS get their finger out and fix!!!!

I will try this today. I had thought you couldn’t add formulas into tables being used by PowerApps though? hopefully it works.
