Does the User account have Append To privs on the Table and read/on the tables?

Since you are using a lookup to connect to the other read you need more than read. to read the connected records

If I have helped you, I would really appreciate if you please Mark my answer as Resolved/Answered, and give it a thumbs up, so it can help others

The To and From are not standard lookup fields they are Activity Parties.

Depending on what you are trying to do e.g.:

    • Get all Phone Calls for Contact "XXX", you can use Advanced Find (or FetchXML Builder) to create and download the query
    • To list the Activity Parties, your best to use XrmToolBox's FetchXML Builder (as the Activity Party table is not exposed in Advanced Find as the main Table) to get the query.

note: the Activity Party table has a Participation field that may be important for what you are trying to do

Similarly, depending on what you need the Party can be a Contact, Account, User, and possibly also a Queue (so don't always assume its value will be a Contact record)
