Hello,
I'm not a professional developer, and I’m looking for an affordable mobile solution for label printing, ideally around 200€/$ or less for a portable printer. Here's my current situation and challenges:
-
I’ve successfully set up a connection between PowerApps/Power Automate and a PC-connected USB printer using PrintNode. I also assume it’s possible to use a PC-connected Wi-Fi printer. However, most Wi-Fi printers I’ve found are either not portable or too expensive.
-
I’m exploring Bluetooth portable label printers, but I suspect there’s no straightforward way to bypass/automate the native app of an Android device when using Bluetooth protocols.
Here’s what I’m looking for:
-
Option 1: Use PowerApps/Power Automate to update a
.csvor.xlsfile and then open a native Android app to print a label. However, this process needs to be as smooth and error-proof as possible.- The printer I currently own has an Android app that can download files from OneDrive but does not sync automatically. I need to manually download the file and reset each label field, which is frustrating. I don’t expect perfection from a 25€ printer, but I’d prefer to avoid trial and error with multiple devices due to budget limitations.
-
Option 2: Ideally, I’d like to fully automate the process from PowerApps/Power Automate to the printer, even if that requires a Wi-Fi connection instead of Bluetooth. Staying within the budget would be crucial.
If anyone has faced a similar challenge and found a practical solution that balances affordability and functionality, I’d greatly appreciate your insights.
Thanks in advance for your help!
R.
