Is using interactive Bing map requires a Premium connector?

Hi All,

We are working on a Canvas app, and we want to embed a Bing Map control inside a form, where users can navigate through the map and select certain locations, then we save the location Coordination inside SharePoint list, to be shown inside the map on another screen..

So is using interactive Bing maps control requires a premium connector? or it is provided as part of the standard connectors?

Bing Maps is a Standard connector and does not require a Premium license. It does however require that you register with Microsoft and get an API key to use it.

I tried to add the Map connector but i noted that it has the premium icon beside it as follow:-

Yes, using the Bing Map control requires a premium connector because it's a premium control, as you correctly identified through the presence of the premium icon.

try out the following:

Interactive Bing Maps control requires API calls, which means a premium connector.

For simple location display, use a static Bing Maps embed (no premium license required).

Evaluate cost and functionality needs to choose the right approach.
