Hi everyone,
I'm currently facing some issues with my high-performance computing setup and a Microsoft product. I'm relatively new to managing both hardware and software in this capacity and could really use some advice from those more experienced.
Here are some details about my setup:
- High-Performance Computing Setup: Custom-built cluster with multiple high-end CPUs and GPUs, 512GB RAM, 10TB SSD storage
- Microsoft Product: Power BI
The Issues:
- Performance Problems: Power BI runs slowly on the high-performance computing setup, especially during data processing and visualization tasks. I'm not sure if this is due to a configuration issue or software limitations.
- Installation Challenges: I encountered several errors during the installation process of Power BI on the cluster. While I managed to get it running, I'm worried that I might have missed some important steps or configurations.
- Compatibility Issues: There are some compatibility issues with certain data sources and formats, leading to failed imports and incomplete analyses.
Steps I've Taken:
- Verified that the setup meets the minimum hardware requirements for Power BI
- Followed the installation guide provided by Microsoft
- Checked for any obvious configuration issues in the computing setup and Power BI settings
Despite these efforts, the issues persist. Has anyone else encountered similar problems with Power BI? Are there specific settings or configurations I should be aware of? Any troubleshooting tips or resources you could recommend would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help!
