AdditionalContext not detected by "Run a prompt" action

In Copilot Studio Flows, has anyone had any luck getting the AdditionalContext field in the "Run a prompt" action? My challenge is the getting the prompt to recognize the AdditionalContext, if that is in fact what it does. this feature lacks documentation. Ultimately, what i'm trying to do is inject the output of a previous step into the prompt to use as context. I can see the data in AdditionalContext but the prompt/llm does not recognize it's existence.

AdditionalContext is a read only field that provides context of the runs

If you are looking to run an action and want to add additonal context, you need to insert the context as part of your prompt. Select Tools > Add a tool > New tool > Prompt. This allows you to set up a prompt that adds additional variables as context.

@venturemavenwill additionalContext is not a read only field in copilot studio flows on the "Run a prompt" action. It's a field that takes either an expression or data from previous step. I don't think we are referring to the same feature unless you can clarify.

You can send it, but your prompt will not use the information there. This is an example in Github when AdditionalContext is filled

It is essentially just another system prompt field. It doesn't offer context to the model itself. If you want to add additional context, the best way is to create your own custom prompt and define how the context should be used.
