Hi all,

I want to use azure blob as a storage for dynamics 365 instance. I want to add metadata to files when uploading files in dynamics 365, how to add metadata in dynamics 365?

Hi @varshinims08,

It really depending on how you're uploading files to Blob. Referring to your other post: https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-Dataverse/How-to-integrate-Azure-blob-storage-with-dynamics-365/m-p/843626

Which method are you using? If the out-of-the-box File column, then unfortunately there's no way. The workaround is to have the metadata within your table/entity in Dataverse as additional columns/fields.

Then it depends on the 3rd party connector capabilities if it supports setting metadata in Blob. Suggest to connect with the vendor of the 3rd part connector. I would still recommend to have the metadata within your table/entity in Dataverse as additional columns/fields.
