Activity Pointer Base Table Questions

Hey all,

I am hoping to get some information regarding the Activity Pointer Base table in Dataverse.

I have been researching this table for quite some time and had a lot of luck reducing the size of the table and identifying the pain points.  I have used multiple web resources and found this one especially helpful for identifying components of the table https://community.dynamics.com/365/f/dynamics-365-general-forum/402451/customer-guide-how-to-reduce-activitypointerbase

For me, it was mainly emails causing memory bloat and this has largely been addressed. I am now moving on to find other ways to reduce daily increase in Activity Pointer Base table size.

My questions are related to memory usage of activity types.  If anyone has some answers to the below questions that would be great and I thank you for your help.  So here is what I am hopeful to find out:

  1. Do tracked emails take up more CE database storage than untracked emails?  If they do, is it a significant increase?

  2. In CE, do the auto-posts or posts in general on the timeline, are those counted into the Activity pointer base table?

  3. Regarding activity types: Quote Close, Opportunity Close and Order Close. Roughly how much memory do records like these occupy?  I am considering limiting the total amount of Quotes, Opps and Orders in the system based on time, so say a 5 year cut off.  So when those parent records are removed I am trying to estimate how much that will reduce the Activity Pointer Base table size for those three activity types.

Thank you all for your help.
