Hello there,

I purchased an Office 365 E1 licence. Also, I purchase a PowerApps plan 2 licence. I want to assign the user xyz@on.microsoft.com with PowerApps plan 2. Here are the steps I followed -

a. Login to office 365 portal

b. Go to Office Admin center

c. Go to Licencing

There are 2 licences listed -

         1) Office 365 E1 licence already assigned to xyz@on.microsoft.com

         2) PowerApps plan 2 licence which is available and has a link "Assign this to a user"

d. When I click "assign this to a user", I see a user listed

f. I select the user using checkbox

g. Where is an option, button or something to say "assign"

Please help

Instead of doing it through the subscription just edit the user under 'Active Users' that you wish to assign the license too. You'll see a section of the user record called 'Product Licenses'.  When oyu edit that section you will see the various licenses avaliable to be assigned.  Simply toggle the P2 license to on and that will assign it to that user.

    Hi @Anonymous ,

Could you please share a bit more about your issue?

Do you mean that you could not assign a PowerApps Plan 2 license to a specific user within your Office Admin Center?

Further, are your a Global Administrator within your Office Admin Center?

I have made a test on my side, and don't have the issue that you mentioned. I could assign a PowerApps Plan 2 license to a specific user properly.

As an alternative solution, please go to the Active Users page within your Office 365 Admin Center, then select the user you want to assign license to. On the right, in the Product licenses row, choose Edit

In the Product licenses pane, switch the toggle to the On position for the license that you want to assign to this user. At the bottom of the Product licenses pane, choose Save > Close > Close.

    The detail steps as below:

    1. In the admin center, go to the Users > Active users page.

    2. Select the box next to the name of the user to whom you want to assign a license.

    3. On the right, in the Product licenses row, choose Edit.

    4. In the Product licenses pane, switch the toggle to the On position for the license that you want to assign to this user.

    5. At the bottom of the Product licenses pane, choose Save > Close > Close.

More details about assigning a license to a specific user within Office 365 Admin Center, please check the following article:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/admin/subscriptions-and-billing/assign-licenses-to-users?view=o365-worldwide#assign-licenses-to-one-user

Please take a try with above solution, then check if the issue is solved.

    Best regards,
