Sadly, that is the latest. On yesterday's ProDev Office Hours they did say that platform support for newer Fluent V9 components in virtual PCFs is being worked, and so GA of virtual PCFs should be imminent. But, nothing new ever gets announced in the first couple months of the year: you'll have to wait for Build to find out if they are doing big things here this year.
Thanks, @cchannon - the lack of communication or clarity over where things are at gets a bit confusing and frustrating at times. Grateful for the update.
