TextInput onchange event does not trigger when removing keyboard from screen by scrolling

Hi all,

I have made an app that has a gallery with a textinput control for each item.
If I type something in the textinput control and scroll up in the gallery, the keyboard closes on my tablet and the onchange event does not trigger.
If I close the keyboard on the keyboard button or press another textinput control it works as intended.

is there a way to get around this?
Has anyone else experienced this before?

With both the classic and modern Text Input controls, the OnChange  does not fire until navigating away from that control.

Only in the modern Text Input control can you modify this behavior to fire about 0.5 seconds after an alteration to the input. in the modern Text Input's TriggerOutput change from:
    • Delayed - Update the control's value when the user pauses typing.
    • FocusOut - Update the control's value when the user selects a different control or clicks outside the control.
    • Keypress - Update the control's value immediately on every character input.
I hope this helps your understanding.

    Hi,
    Thank you for answering!
Even if I scroll up and press somewhere else, the OnChange does not trigger.
I am not really interested in changing how the OnChange should trigger, since it works fine otherwise.
Plus its a textfield only for numbers, and the new numbers input control triggers the OnChange event triggers as soon as the control loads in, which I dont want.
Also, you cant change the TriggerOutput on the new numbers control.
