Power Apps Crash QR Barcode Scanner: Google Pixel 8 Pro

I helped create a Canvas App for my company and we have placed a QR/Barcode Scanner in the App. When I try to open the QR Scanner from within the App, Power Apps crashes instantly. I believe that on occasion there is an error but, it moves to quickly from the screen to extract.
I've attempted:

Checking Camera Permissions for Power Apps on my Android for the Camera and they are set to "Allow when using the App"
Verified I was on the most current build of Power Apps
Went through the documentation from Microsoft on the reader
Uninstalled and re-installed Power Apps
Tested other phones including a Pixel 7a and Iphone 13 with no issues at all

This does seem to be localized to this phone and model at the moment but was hoping for some direction to check other avenues.

We’re already in the middle of June and the Power Apps issue affecting Pixel 8 devices still hasn’t been resolved. Is there any update from Microsoft or a confirmed workaround?

It’s affecting our productivity, and the silence around this is quite frustrating.

Just received from support! The end is near!

Greetings of the day!
I wanted to provide you with an update from the Product Group team. The fix requires integration and validation on both iOS and Android platforms, along with comprehensive feature testing, as it impacts multiple areas. This process will take a couple of weeks, followed by the release cycle, which will also take additional time.

As of now, we anticipate the deployment to be completed by the end of April or early May. However, we are doing our best to expedite the process as much as possible.

Amazing news! I just received it today as well but, have struggled to get around my intune policies to test it. You rock for sharing that APK!

It's good to finally have some great news!

Great news @Selbotron!!!

The customer service sent me the open beta of the new version of power app for android.

It works now on my Pixel 9 pro!!!!!

They are testing it and I think it will be published in the next weeks.

I submitted a new ticket to the power platform support team and this is the answer:

Our team has identified that this issue is related to default configurations in Pixel 8 and 9 devices, which interfere with the native camera and barcode scanner functionality, causing the app to crash. Please note that this is a known issue, and a work item has already been raised internally. The engineering team is actively investigating and working on a fix to ensure a seamless experience.

At this stage, multiple internal reviews and reports are being conducted, and while we are prioritizing a resolution, we do not have an exact ETA for the fix yet. We understand the impact this may have on your workflow and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing.
