Hi everyone,
I have SPList table with name, screen, and duration. Is it possible when the user starts using the APP (after pressing login) to track what screen and how long the user spends on that screen(if possible)? And/Or the total time he used the app. How do you capture the log(duration) if the user just abruptly closes the app (closing browser/force close)? I believe I need a timer control, where do I place the timer?
For basic reporting you can use the app usage reports. You can also create a more custom log using Azure App Insights.
ETA since you can't trigger on app/browser tab close, I don't think I would use timers. You could have a button for users to click when they're done using the app that would write the data that your timers are collecting, but you couldn't enforce they'd actually do this.
Hi @josefm2,
Yes you can try @Cooper01 suggesstion, else you can use Timer Control in each Screen and you can log the same for tracking too.
