Platform keeps deleting the list of security roles allowed to open model driven app

Hello all,

I have a model driven app which i correctly deploy using pipeline from DEV to QA to PROD environment.

Once in PROD I open Make environment and share the model driven app to the security roles allowed.

But recently i found that system delete che list of security roles which can open the app. the symptoms are:

Suddenly users cannot open app anymore:
i'm not able to share the application inside the make environment:

So every time i have to go to

https://URL.DYNAMICS.COM/Apps

and assign again manually.

Then everything starts working again.

Why this happens?

This model driven app that you are facing issue, it is a custom app or you customize some of existing one that is provided by Microsoft?

on your dev environment did you set the config? if not set in the dev environment.

Or if you always is set in the target environment check your pipeline if you are not removing unmnaged customizations when deploy the soluition. Are using Devops or Power Platform Pipelines?

Probably I've found the issue.

Root problem is that i don't have imported the security roles into the solution and i was manually assigning the roles into the target environment (security roles were in a unmanaged layer in prod environment), so every time i deploied the solution the link with the security roles broke, users were not able to access the application and i was not able to share the app again from backend designer website, so i had to set it manually every time.

I'm going to embed the security roles inside the solution and export it to check if that will fix.
