Business Units vs Teams

I need an explanation of when to use Teams vs Business Units in an Environment. It is not clear to me at all.

Users already have access to the Environment via Security Group for that Environment.

I already have a Security Role created for the Tables in the Solution.

What should I use (Business Units or Teams) to apply my Security Role to so users have access to the App?

Teams are for working together. They can include people from different parts of the company. For example, if Sales, Marketing, and Support need to work on a project together, you can create a team with members from all these departments. Teams can either own data or just have access to it.

Business Units are for organizing the company. They group people and data based on the company’s structure. For example, a company might have Business Units for North America, Europe, and Asia. People in each Business Unit can access data relevant to their region, but need special permissions to access data from other units.

In short, Teams are about collaboration across the company, while Business Units are about organizing and securing data based on the company’s structure.

    Hope this helps.
    Anthony.
