Get power bi report name dynamically

ReportReport
Posted on by 8
Hi team,
I need help retrieving the report name from Power BI in Power Apps. For that i have a column in my dataset that contains the report name. When I create a new app through Power BI, I can successfully get the report name using First(
PowerBIIntegration.Data, "Report Name"). However, when I enable a pre-existing app in Power BI, the report name does not appear. What could be the reason, and how can I resolve this issue?
Thanks in advance

You have embedded an app in Power Bi and it's not doing what you want, correct?

I need to dynamically retrieve the Power BI report name in a Power Apps text field so that the same app, when embedded in different Power BI reports, automatically displays the respective report name.

Each Power BI report has a separate column for the report name.

    Steps I've Taken:

1️⃣ When embedding Power Apps in Power BI, I see two options:

    • "Choose App" (to select an existing app).

    • "Create New" (to generate a new Power App within Power BI).

2️⃣ If I select "Create New", I use the following formula in a text input field:
    "First(PowerBIIntegration.Data).[Report Name]"
This successfully retrieves the report name from Power BI.
3️⃣ However, when choosing "Existing App", using the same formula does not work—the report name is not recognized in Power Apps.
