Access Dynamics 365 data from Teams Power-App

I have a few Power-Platform Canvas Apps built in a teams environment, that have been serving the business requirements well.

Now a new requirement has arisen that requires extending them to include data from Dynamics-365 that is running in a separate production environment - basically to get things like lists of customers and contacts.

The problem is that I can't seem to create a dataverse connection to that environment from the teams app builder, and in fact it doesn't even know the environment exists.

Should this be doable?

    Hi

Your requirement is not feasible, for one reason each Dynamics 365 environment has an associated database.

Now if you create a Teams environment, it also has a Dataverse database, so you will not be able to show your data from the Dynamics environment in Teams directly, you would have to set up something in Power Automate to integrate the data.

But perhaps it is more feasible to build a canvas application or a Model Driven App for that Dynamics environment and share that one in a team or Teams channel.

    Thanks for the response.

I do actually understand that each environment can have its own Dataverse - hence the question of whether or not it's possible to create a Dataverse connection to another environment - it would seem to just be an issue access control rather than intrinsically impossible.

However, be that as it may, if such an option does not exist, then I guess my next stop is working out how to migrate the Power-App and all of its various Power-Automates to the D365 Production environment - presumably as a solution.

Is this possible, going from a Teams environment to a D365 Production environment ?
