Change PowerApp Environment Region

Hello Community,

Is there any way I can change the region of the environment in PowerApps?

I am having issues with on-Premise Data Gateway not working (when it worked in the past) and I have troubleshooted down that if I am able to change the region from United States to Canada then my PowerApps will work again.

However, all my existing PowerApps in Production are in the United States region environment.

I have two options right now to fix this frustrating issue,

1. Export the PowerApps in production  (in United States region) and re-upload all those apps into the new environment I just created with Canada as the region then the data will work.

2. Change the product environment with the United States region into Canada. This will be the easiest way without moving all production apps into the new environment but I am not too sure if it's doable?

Please help!

    Hi @lliu08 ,

Could you please share a bit more about your scenario?

Do you want to change the Region of a existing Environment from United States to Canada?

If you want to change the Region of a existing Environment from United States to Canada, I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs in PowerApps currently.

Based on the needs that you mentioned, I think the Option 1 may be the only available solution. Actually, it is not necessary to export and import an app from one Environment to another Environment one by one, instead, I think the Solution functionality could achieve your needs.

Within your source Environment (whose Region is in United States), you could consider create a Solution, then import all related existing apps into this Solution. Then export this Solution into a package file. After that, switch your PowerApps Environment to Target one (whose Region is in Canada), then import the previous exported solution package file into it, then you could use these app within your Target Environment.

More details about the Solution functionality in PowerApps, please check the following article:
