Hello everyone

Am building a model driven app for job applications, in this app, i have a form where it asks for country and city

new formnew form

I have a table with city and countries , so is there a way to make the country field in the form as a lookup to the city and countries table, but what i need is that when i select a certain country, the cities will be filtered for that country

so what is the best way to implement this? should i split the city and country table into country table alone ?

my city country table is as below

Thank you!

    Hi @chahineatallah1 ,

This is possible if you use JS, its not an easy way but it is possible with JS function addPreSearch function.

    Check the documentation [Documentation Link]

When you click on search '🔍' icon then preSearch function will trigger and it will consider data you feed in based on FetchXML.

Those records will be shown in the City lookup

    Hope this helps

Have a Country Table - just country names

Have a City Table - city name, lookup to Country

On your Model Driven App form add Lookup to Country, then add Lookup to City, when you add the City lookup turn on the Related Record Filtering option and select Country for the filter - the first image in this link shows it in the Classic Interface https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customerengagement/on-premises/customize/special-field-properties-legacy?view=op-9-1
