Reuploading File Attachments to SharePoint List

In Canvas App, my App is a form fillout with an attachment upload. These items are uploaded to a SharePoint List with a Default Patch Function.

My app also includes a gallery of all previous submissions. When a submission is selected, each form (including attachments) is set to EditForm(), and the 'Item' of each form is set to the gallery variable.

The file attachment upload works for the creation of a new submission. The both the information of the form and the attachment are successfully uploaded to the SharePoint list. All information can be recalled to the form via the gallery.

Here is the issue I am facing

Attachments recalled from the gallery populate the attachment form, but can not be reuploaded through the patch function.

Reuploading File Attachments to SharePoint List
When you use the Patch function, it updates the fields of the list item but does not directly handle the attachments. For editing or re-uploading attachments, you need to explicitly update them using the Attachments control.

Depending on where you have placed the attachment control (i.e. inside or outside the form), there could be two scenarios:

    1. Control is inside the Form - Use SubmitForm function, instead of Patch. The SubmitForm function handles attachments correctly when the attachment control is part of the form. When the form is submitted, the attachments will be managed automatically if they are part of the form submission process (using SubmitForm).

    2. If you need to update attachments outside the form submission process, then Remove or Add attachments using the Attachment's control AddAttachment and RemoveAttachment functions.
    E.g. - RemoveAttachment(DataCardValue.Attachments, DataCardValue.Attachments.Selected)
