Developing an Arabic Customer Service Bot with Microsoft Copilot Studio: Optimal Solutions and Use Cases

Dear Copilot Studio Community,

I am developing a Customer Service bot using Copilot Studio, particularly in the Arabic language. However, given that Copilot Studio does not natively support Arabic, I am seeking guidance on the most optimal solution to integrate Arabic language capabilities into my project. Below, I've outlined potential solutions and would greatly appreciate your insights and advice.

Potential Solutions:

  1. Using AI Builder for Text Translation: This option involves AI Builder (Power Automate) for text translation within Copilot Studio. While it appears to seamlessly integrate with Copilot Studio's workflow and performance, I haven't found concrete examples of this approach being used to address the specific challenge of Arabic (or any other unsupported) language integration.

  2. Utilizing Relay Bot with Azure AI Bot Service: Another option is to employ a Relay bot built with Azure AI Bot Service, as described in this link. It introduces an additional service to the solution, so it seems to be more expensive. Not sure if it will perform better than the 1st approach I have mentioned.

  3. Any other solution you have tried for a similar problem. Please do mention it.

While I personally lean towards the first option due to its alignment with Copilot Studio's ecosystem, I seek your expertise to weigh in on the most effective approach.

Additional Queries:

In addition to the language integration dilemma, I'm curious about the distinctive use cases of Copilot Studio and Azure AI Bot Service. Specifically:

  • In what scenarios would one opt for Azure AI Bot Service over Copilot Studio?
  • What are the clearly distinctive use cases of each service?
  • What are some other use cases where we can leverage Copilot Studio along with Azure AI Bot Service?

Your insights and experiences would be invaluable in guiding me towards the best course of action. Thank you for your time and assistance.

Warm regards,

Maaz Khan
