Dataverse table columns not showing up when importing excel

I'm trying to import an excel file and when it comes to mapping the appropriate columns, the columns in the dataverse table do not show up except for a couple like Name, status reason, etc.

edit: I was able to import the file by creating a canvas application with the table and importing it that way.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi @ChrisPBacon,

Good you found a solution, but (for future reference), were the missing columns Lookups against other tables?

If so, the other (parent) table(s) needs to have an alternate key set (i.e. a column containing unique values which can be used to lookup the records from the data in the Excel sheet). Setting the key allows this column to then be displayed in the Dataflow. This tutorial from @AhmedSalih  helped me with the same issue:

I'm having the same problem, where a column is not showing when trying to map the data from Excel. I have not yet been able to find a solution.

Edit: I solved it by exporting the table, and when I tried mapping my import again all the columns magically showed up.
