RegEx in Copilot Studio

I want to perform a RegEx on the user query/question but it is not possible because the functions match and ismatch are not supported in Copilot Studio PowerFX. For example, I want to go to a specific topic if the query contains XXX-XX-XX pattern.

Anyone know how to do this?

Hi nicox,

You can use PowerFX's existing string functions like Mid, Left, and Right to isolate parts of the string.

But the Actual Solution for your problem could be using Inputs in Topics. The Description that you provide in LLM itself is capable to extract and identify the required pattern.

We can implement regex by creating custom entities in Copilot studio.
