Issue with Offline Profile in Canvas App on UAT Environment

Hello Power Platform Team,

I have created a Canvas offline app that works correctly ofline on mobile from the (Dev) environment. When I open the app in Dev, it functions offline without any issues. However, when I deploy the same app to the UAT environment, I encounter an error related to the "Profile Mobile Offline."

The error does not occur in the Dev environment, and the app runs offline without issues there. Could you please help me understand why this problem occurs in the UAT environment and not in Dev? What steps should I take to resolve this, and how should I handle the Mobile profile in this situation?

Looking forward to your guidance.

Thank you!

The "Profile Mobile Offline" error in UAT but not in Dev suggests that the Mobile Offline Profile settings in the UAT environment are either misconfigured or missing. Here’s how to troubleshoot and resolve this:

    1. Verify Mobile Offline Profile in UAT

    • Go to Power Platform Admin Center (admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com).
    • Navigate to Environments > Select UAT > Settings > Features.
    • Scroll to Mobile Offline and check if it's enabled.
    • Ensure that the correct Mobile Offline Profile is assigned.

    2. Compare Mobile Offline Profile Between Dev & UAT

Since your app works offline in Dev, compare the Mobile Offline Profile settings between the two environments:

    • In Dev, go to Advanced Settings > Settings > Mobile Offline.
    • Check the Profile Name, Tables, and Users included in the profile.
    • Repeat this in UAT and ensure the profiles match.

If the profile is missing in UAT, you may need to export it from Dev and import it into UAT.

    3. Assign Users to the Mobile Offline Profile in UAT

    • In UAT, ensure that users testing the app are added to the Mobile Offline Profile.
    • Navigate to Settings > Mobile Offline Profiles.
    • Open the correct profile and add the required users.

    4. Ensure Mobile Offline is Enabled in the App Settings

    In Power Apps Studio:

    • Open your app.
    • Go to Settings > Upcoming Features.
    • Ensure that "Enable offline mode" is turned on.
    • Check if "Load data only when connected" is disabled (if applicable to your offline logic).

    5. Check Deployment Process

    • When deploying from Dev to UAT, ensure that all dependencies (e.g., tables, connections, offline-enabled entities) are also deployed.
    • If you used a solution, confirm that it includes the necessary Mobile Offline Profile configurations.

    6. Verify App Permissions in UAT

    • Ensure that users have the required Dataverse permissions to sync offline data.
    • Assign the System Customizer or Environment Maker role to test if it resolves the issue.

    Next Steps

    1. Check if the Mobile Offline Profile exists in UAT.
    2. Compare the profile settings between Dev and UAT.
    3. Assign users to the Mobile Offline Profile in UAT.
    4. Verify app and offline settings in Power Apps Studio.
    5. Ensure all dependencies are included when deploying.
