How to enable the responsiveness icons?

A few days ago, I started creating a new app in Power Apps. I created a blank canvas (tablet view) and in the options, I set the 'App Layout' to 'Responsive' and enabled 'Modern Controls'. Then, at the bottom of the canvas (next to the zoom slider), four responsiveness icons appeared.

With them, I could quickly switch the canvas view in edit mode between phone, tablet, screen, or canvas size. This was very helpful because I could edit the app directly in different views.
I was quite happy about it since these icons had never appeared in my previous apps.

However, after saving the app and coming back to it later, those icons suddenly disappeared. When creating new apps and setting the same options, the icons no longer appear either.

How can I activate them again?

The icons which you referring/ highlighted is zoom in / zoom out slider and fit to window control, this is not control which you are used in the power-apps for any visuals.

These helps to increase the visual area of the design space and fit the screen to window.

I’m referring to the icons marked in the screenshot below.

I can choose the canvas view as Small, Medium, Large, Default and editing the app in the canvas happens at the width selected by one of these buttons (depending on the breakpoints I have set in App > SizeBreakpoints).

Strangely, they suddenly disappeared — and while I was working in the canvas and adding more controls, they suddenly reappeared. What’s going on here?

I think this is a PowerApps bug because those icons appear and disappear randomly after refreshing the browser. I’ve tried different browsers, and it’s the same. Sometimes they’re there, and after refreshing they disappear — or the other way around. Ahhh… Microsoft…

Does anyone really know how to make these icons permanent? Honestly, editing apps with these icons is much easier. And they appear randomly. And there are more of them than there are. I tried them on Brave and Edge browsers.

When you create an app, it's helpful to preview your app and see how it will look for your users. Use the preview app feature to see how your app appears on various devices and in different sizes. Previewing an app is especially beneficial when you're building a responsive app.

To preview an app, open the app for editing in Power Apps Studio, in the actions menu, select Preview button. Preview the app.

Use the preview options to see how your app looks on different devices using the device picker.

    Preview your app.
