Add component to form control

I have created one simple numeric up/down component in PowerApps to increase or decrease a value using + or - buttons ( see screenshot below) . However I can't add the component to my form. I dont know if I am doing something wrong. Let me know guys if you can help me or give any suggestions to do this in a better way.

    They used to let you put components in a form...but no longer.

    The process was that you needed to add the component to your screen, then cut and paste it into your datacard.

    This is no longer available.  

     

    You might want to consider using the form still as your base, but using your own interface to the form.  Just depends on how complex your form is.
