Keep Item ID while copying a Sharepoint list item to another list

Hey guys,

is it possible to keep the id of a sharepoint list item when copying by using a flow.

I want to update the copied item at a later time.

The flow will be used later by many employees, so it is not possible to adjust the ID number by creating the same number of items.

Best regards

Johanna

    Hello @Anonymous ,

If you are checking if there is a way to retrieve ID, when item is created for copying it to another list. The answer is Yes.

Also please use PowerAutomate community forum to discuss the flow issue as more Flow experts will be monitoring the PowerAutomate community. https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-Power-Automate/ct-p/MPACommunity

You can never change the ID of an item on a SharePoint list. If you want to keep the ID from list one to list two you can carry that value over to list two but into a number column and call it ParentID or something else so you the two can be tied to each other.
