Generate a PDF and allow to sign it

Hello,

Is it possible to generate a PDF from data gathered in sharepoint list and allow to sign it, and after signing save it as attachment in the same form or in a different place?

Where should I look and what should I learn?

Thank you.

    Hi @Elitezone ,

Do you want to retrieve fields in a line of SharePoint list except for the attachment column, generate a PDF, catch a signature and put it on the PDF then save it in to SharePoint list attachment field of the same line?

If you do, this would be a big project. You could achieve all steps except for signing on a PDF file. There is no way to achieve the need through Power Apps but there is a workaround.

You could use a flow to:

    • Use a PenInput to let users sign .
    • Generate an HTML table to capture SharePoint list item without attachments and the image of signature from PenInput.
    • Convert the HTML table to PDF file and save it in OneDrive.
    • Preview the PDF in PDF Viewer then update it into SharePoint attachment

You could reference to below link to learn how to generate HTML table in Power Apps and create the flow:

    Hope this helps.

Thank you. And what about Adobe Sign integration?

    Hi @Elitezone ,

Since I have no permission of Adobe Sign to test I could not provide you an exact answer. As I known, and according to the official doc: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/adobesign/

you could use Adobe Sign to build a Flow to create and send agreements to others, and get a PDF of the signed agreement. I think the point is you could not apply a full-automatic workflow to: create a PDF - sign on it - get the signed version. My suggestion above could extend to:

    1) Create an HTML table with form items in HTML text for users to preview.

    2) Use PenInput to let user sign.

    3) Create another HTML text with the former one and the signature.

    4) Save it to OneDrive and format it as PDF, upload to SharePoint.

    Hope this helps.
