Add or remove members to shared channel / teams

Hi everyone,

Has anyone an idea about how to add or remove members to/from a shared channel in teams ? I don't want to add members to the team, only to the channel.

I'm struggling to find solutions but I only see ways to do it with private channels.

Thank you in advance!

    Hi,

thank you for the help but it says "to private channels" or "

When the user is already part of the team you can use a HTTP action setup like below: "

As I said for some reason, i want members to be part of a shared channel inside a team but they should not be part of the team.

    Does it also work ?

    Hi @Slice69300,

That's the purpose of a shared channel, you can add internal or external users without inviting them to the overarching team. Shared channel members only gets to see the team name and shared channel, nothing else.

To add member to a shared channel, use same graph api as for any other channel type: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/api/channel-post-members?view=graph-rest-beta&tabs=http#example-6-add-a-user-who-is-part-of-the-same-or-a-different-tenant-as-a-member-to-a-shared-channel-using-user-principal-name
