Hello,
Trying to figure out how can i make a column accept only unique values just like in sharepoint.
can't seem to find an answer with search or youtube.
Any directions would be extremely helpful.

With the Dataverse you can setup "duplicate detection rules" but this will not stop the insert of the record, it will only provide a warning that you are creating a duplicate. You would need to implement a plugin that would execute on pre-validation (Synchronous) and return exception.

Try creating alternate key. Make sure it gets succeeded while creating an index. You can check the status in system jobs. If it fails you can get a log. System job type is "Entitykey Index Creation".
