Add Copilot as single app in channel and NOT in common chat

Hi everyone,

I have a Copilot that I’d really like to share with my team. It’s intended to function as a knowledge assistant exclusively within our team.

I’d like to share it in our team channel so that each member can access it individually (not as a shared conversation with the same chatbot, and not as a bot that comments in a group chat). How can I set this up?

I was hoping to:

Connect it to Teams,
Go to our channel and click the "+" to add it as an app under the channel.

However, I can’t seem to get it to appear there.
What can I do to make this work?

It could change in a near futur but At the moment, it s a feature only avaible to Copilot Studio agent created in copilot studio, not from you agent build in copilot 365.
The procedure is well documented by you will need a little bit of admin intervention to allow deploy to channel. It work, i did it for few customer . Ask you r IT dude for help, they know or they will find the procedure :)

Hi!
Thank you very much for your reply. My agent is not built in Copilot 365, but rather in Copilot Studio, and I’m still struggling with adding it as its own standalone app.
I hope you can help with this part!

with both it will ok, but anyway at a point you will need autorisation from you team administrator, so be prepare to contact your IT dude :)

Thank you very much for the links and the guide — I’ve reviewed both myself. The issue I’m having is with the part he goes through from the 15:00 mark, which he then skips. If I’m the owner of the channel where I want to publish a Copilot, and I don’t intend to distribute it across our entire team tenant, do I still need to have administrator rights?

@MR-10091350-0 often administrator use "company security rules" to forbid some deploy, very often the ability to adding app to teams (a copilot is consider as an app by the system) and so they need to give you autorization or deploy it for you from the teams admin portal. At this point, better to ask the ID dudes :)
