Powerapps "Collect from drop down"

I'm currently working on a Powerapp to allow staff to choose their benefits for the upcoming year (Medical Cover, Insurance, etc).

Because we've changed providers since last year some of the options and coverage aren't like for like so I've split this into two; one screen which reads last years selections and displays this to the user that is logged in; this is working fine; its just reading off a Sharepoint List.

The Second Part though I'm having some trouble with; most of the choices are various "Cover levels" for each from Level 1 to Level 5, or Single Person, Partner and Family; for selection I've created dropdown boxes with the various options as choices; I've created these lists in "Items"; they aren't linked to Sharepoint.

I want them to click a submit button to confirm their benefit choices and have the values chosen put into a collection; this is working ok for labels but it doesn't seem to take the value chosen in any of the drop downs; is there a way to do this?

    @chrism1825

    You might need to provide some examples of the formula you have to resolve further, but in general you should be using the dropdownName.Selected.Value to get the selected value of the dropdown.  If you are not, consider changing to that to see that you are getting what you want.

    I hope this is helpful for you.

    @RandyHayes I could kiss you! Many thanks - got that working now; I needed to use dropdownName.Selected.Text to get it to take the value; now I know!
