can i use business rule in model driven app to lock a tab? or section?
You can use Business Rules to lock individual fields inside a Section or Tab, but you cannot Lock an entire Section or a Tab using a Business Rule. Note you must create and activate the Business Rule against each field one by one. If you are only dealing with several fields and if your Business Rule is simple, I would recommend this option as it is out of the box and requires no code.
To lock an entire Section or Tab, you can apply Java Script to a Web Resource on an OnLoad event to lock all fields. I would recommend this option if you have a significant number of fields which need to be locked based on specific condition.
