Check box availability based on selected drop down

Hello Members,

I am new to power apps and trying to add a feature in my SharePoint Site list based power apps. In my intake tool that I am making, I want to add a feature where I can select the value from the Drop down and based on that dynamic check boxes can be available and from those check boxes I can select the relevant check boxes and left other unchecked.

For example
If drop down value is United States, check box option should be something like: California, Ohio, New Jersey, Texas.

and I can check Ohio and Texas if they are the only one I want.

Also, please feel free to any alternative you can think of.

Your best option is a combobox with multi select here. Any reason why you cannot use that? Otherwise you will have to hand construct a checkbox control inside a gallery that is linked to a list of options that you can filter off the dropdown.selected.value. This will contstruct the list of checkboxes you can select. Then you will have to maintain a collection of options when checking / unchecking boxes etc. to update your datasource they come from etc. It's pretty complicated.

Using a combobox you can just build a choice column in your list, with all the states, then filter the Items property of the comobobox with a switch statement based on the dropdown selected value listing the items available based on the value selected.

    Thank you @cwebb365 ,

I tried combo box and looks like it will work perfectly fine. However, I am not able to filter that values that should show up in that combo box based on the value of selected in a dropdown.
    So for example,
If I select "USA" in drop down it is  not showing option with filtered states just for the USA, rather it shows all the states from all the country. Can you please tell what am I doing wrong ? I am using SharePoint List as a datasource
I cannot figure out what is wrong with my code here:
    Search(Filter('DataSource',DdCountry.Selected = CbStates.SelectedItems.value))

If you got a list that is feeding the combobox for states then you need to set the items to something like Filter('SPList', Country = DdCountry.Selected.Value) the control does the search you when you check the box to allow searching on the combobox properties don't need to put that in anywhere.
