Hi, I'm manager of restaurant and newbie for Power Apps.In my restaurant, there are 3 employees and many part time workers who will work only several weeks or months. And we have 5 licenses for me and our employees already.I am planning to create check-in and check-out app using Power Apps.I'm thinking that I will put tablet in our back office and they will type their name and push "Check-in/out" button. In that case, do we need to buy part time worker's license for Power Apps or Office 365?Only they do is just to tap button in our office and not to use any email accounts or other office apps such as word/excel etc...I am not IT specialist so very confusing about licensing and do not want to violate without my notice.Thank you so much for your help.
I would assume that you only need a license for the user that is logged in to the tablet. Since you won't be asking them to log in then only one license. The only issue then is how do you know who is recording clocking on or off. If you trust your employees then fine. If you are doubtful then have the senior person keep the tablet and note peoples arrival and departure.
@AlexStennett I truly appreciate for your answer! And I'm so glad to hear that only one license is needed for my plan. Also thank you for tell us the issue you concerned.
Currently at least one employee members attending to restaurant and they check who is in the restaurant. And we have part time worker's shift excel file and it is updated daily who attend actually. This app can reduce our employee's daily file update job.I suppose that we can check by asking our staff or check excel file in case if there's cheat or missing.I will launch this app by trial for several months and see how it works.Thank you so much again for your rapid and kind answer!
I'm new to this too but can you mark this as solved then? Means other people won't keep thinking you still need help.
Sorry for my late reply.I accepted your first post as solution.
