Hi, I hope you're all well.
We have an embedded canvas app that's been shared with a number of users, however many of those users are getting a message stating they don't have access to use it (see attached).
Microsoft are investigating the trace logs but I just wanted to reach out and see if anyone else has experienced this? There's a few topic along the same/similar nature but nothing that has helped me solve this as of yet.
Many thanks,
Rob
Hi, thanks for the reply.
Yes this is for internal users however since posting this I've shared the app with 'everyone' and the issue appears to be ok now.
Sharing with everyone isn't always ideal, but in this scenario it's not really an issue. So it looks like the problem was being caused when sharing it with individual users, it seemed that sharing was only being applied to the newly selected users and forgetting about users that I had previously shared it with (but still showing them in the shared list). This is just a theory and may just be a coincidence, but sharing with everyone has certainly done the job!
Many thanks for your help on this.
Rob
Hi @RobMonkman ,
I didn't meet this kind of problem before.
Here are some tips for your checking:
1)Did you share your app to internal users?
For now, it's only supported to share apps to internal users(in one group , not distinguished group).
Or else, you need to set the users as guests.
2)Could you tell me your connector?
If the shared users' license do not have access to your connector, they will not be able to use your app.
3)Did you share your connections to others?
Shared users also need to have access to your data source.
Best regards,
