Hi everyone 😁!!
I'm try to add a attachment in a new form but my database is an Excel Online, is it possible?
You will need a Document Library on Sharepoint
As a general rule of thumb, PowerApps does not like to function with excel and should only be used as a last resort. Using Sharepoint Lists instead of excel will make developing a PowerApp for your dataset a lot easier. In order to help could you give some more information on your exact use case? What are you trying to attach and where are you trying to attach it to? Are you trying to add attachments to the excel file itself?
I don't think so, but you can add the attachment to a sharepoint list, via a power automate you get the link for that file and then you post the link in your database
YOu can't store files in Excel. You'll need SharePoint, Dataverse, SQL or Oracle for that.
In my app i can add informations about some irregular points in the room, but is important to add photos to register correctly what is happening.
PS: I want to see the photo or the link's photo in a view form screen.
You should definitly switch to a SharePoint list instead of Excel

#saynotoexcel 😂
@truepowerapps20 @Zacharie_Cortes @developerAJ Guuys i'm almost finishing the app, plzz don't say it 😂Do you know if is a way to create a sharepoint list just to attach the image and than post the image's link in the view form?
I'm still not sure I understand exactly what you're trying to do, but it sounds like you are keeping a database of multiple points of a room and are wanting to attach pictures of any irregularities that occur. Unfortunately as everyone else has stated, there is no way for you to submit attachments directly to an excel form. The best course of action in my opinion is to import your excel form into a Sharepoint List.If your dataset allows it, I would create a new Sharepoint list and use "Import from Excel" when you are creating the list. This will import all of your excel columns and data into the list. After that, you can change the PowerApp form's datasource from [Your Excel Sheet] to [Your Sharepoint List]. Once you are connected to the SP list, in the right-hand column in PowerApps with the form selected, click the "Edit Fields" button located under the "Data Source". You should then see "Attachments" and be able to add it to your form. This will make it where attachments can be added in the app and upon submission will add them to the line item in Sharepoint.
