Power Platform - DataFlows - Issue with DB2 and Dataverse Connectors in Dataflows

Hello everyone,

I'm encountering an issue with using the DB2 and Dataverse connectors in Dataflows. Here are the details:

  • When I use the DB2 connector individually in Dataflows, it works fine without any issues.

  • When I use the Dataverse connector individually, it also works fine.

  • However, when I try to use both the DB2 and Dataverse connectors together in a Dataflow, the Dataverse connection fails with an error stating "unable to connect to the SQL connection."

  • Interestingly, the SharePoint connector works fine with the DB2 connector.

  •

Has anyone else experienced this issue or have any solutions? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

    Hi @kdhawan3!

It sounds like you're experiencing a unique issue when trying to use both the DB2 and Dataverse connectors together in a Dataflow. Here are a few potential reasons and solutions for this issue:

    Potential Reasons and Solutions:

    1. Connection Conflicts:

      • There might be a conflict between the DB2 and Dataverse connectors when used together. Ensure that both connectors are configured correctly and that there are no overlapping settings that might cause conflicts.
    2. Authentication Issues:

      • Verify that the authentication methods for both connectors are set up correctly. Sometimes, issues can arise if the authentication tokens or credentials are not properly managed.
    3. Dataflow Configuration:

      • Double-check the configuration of your Dataflow. Ensure that the steps involving both connectors are correctly ordered and that there are no misconfigurations.
    4. Service Limits:

      • Check if there are any service limits or quotas that might be affecting the connectors. Sometimes, exceeding certain limits can cause connection issues.
    5. Environment-Specific Issues:

      • Test the Dataflow in a different environment to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is environment-specific.
    6. Logs and Diagnostics:

      • Review the logs and diagnostics for both connectors. This can provide more detailed information about why the Dataverse connection is failing.

If the response is helpful to you, a like or mark as the correct solution. thank you so much!
