Hi All,

We have a SharePoint site under the Australian government, with this url:-

https://***.*****.****.gov.au/sites/test/

where this is the first time i deal with SharePoint online site that does not contain the word SharePoint.com in its url. Now i want to create a power apps which is connected to the above site's lists and libraries, but when i tried to connect to the site inside power apps i got this error "Something went wrong please try again later" :-

and the only site i can see is the root site with sharepoint.com in its url and which does not have the .gov subdomain, as follow:-

so can anyone advice how i can connect my Power Apps to a governmental sharepoint site?

Thanks

    hey

to me this looks like a generel settings issue and nothing you can solve on your end.

if i were u i would ask the power platform admins.

    Hi  johnjohnPter

I'd try creating the connection independently from the app to see if that makes a difference. Doing it this way should force the authentication dialog to appear and it may be this lack of authentication that's causing the 'something went wrong' error.

To create the initial connection, you would go the Power Apps portal, click '...More' on the left hand rail, and then click 'connections'.

Is your environment part of the tenant?
Gov tenants tend to be configured differently. You generally have to be on the network or setup with a VPN. You generally would not be able to connect through a regular internet connection.

Yes I am connected to a VPN to access the Gov sharepoint  site, but still the site will not be shown inside Power Apps ..

Sounds like a permission issue, Speak to your SharePoint administrator.

    Hi

    >>ok i can create a sharepoint connections, but i will not be asked to select the .gov site.

So just to clarify this, when you create the connection outside of Power Apps, you enter the .gov site URL and authenticate, but at that point, it doesn't show a list of the available sites/lists?
