Attachment Control in Power Apps not Updating Maximum File Count After Removing Files

I'm facing an issue with the Attachment control in Power Apps. I have it set up to grab data from a SharePoint list as its default. I have the max file count set to 5. Suppose when I enter the screen, the number of attachments fetched from the list is 5. This immediately maxes out the attachment control, and I am unable to add files even after removing existing attachments from the controller.

The issue is that the "max attachments reached" message does not go away and the option to upload attachments does not appear even when attachments are removed.

Does anyone else face this issue or have suggestions? Thank you in advance for any help.

For Attachment Control, if you set max file count to 5, for new record, you will be able to remove the new added files which will take effect to add/reduce the file count.

But for existing records, it will count files which is in SharePoint, in other words, if you want to update attachments control to replace the files, you need to remove the files from attachment control, save the record, and then upload new files.

    Hi Meekou,

    thank you for the answer.

What I would like to do is always extract the latest attachment the user provided, and based on that, the user can attach new/remove, and once submit. to create a new record in the list. the only issue I met is today I suddenly found if the data extracted from the list is 5 (hits the maximum) then seems the user will not be able to add new even he/she tries to remove the existing one from the control.

    thank you

Save the record before adding new attachment.
