I am currently working on setting up virtual entities in Dynamics 365 and have encountered some issues. I followed the setup instructions as per the guide on the Microsoft Learn website, but after enabling virtual entities, not all entities are being reflected as expected.

i have followed these steps Configure Dataverse virtual entities - Finance & Operations | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn
but when im enabling the virtual entities Enable Microsoft Dataverse virtual entities - Finance & Operations | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn
i cant find in advance
Hi, I would expect Microsoft support to help you until it works, isn't it? Unfortunately, I don't want to invest too much time into this. Can you maybe ask your D365-implementation/consultancy partner? BR
Hi Franzi by any chance i had raised a ticket with microsoft as well they said to generate new client id and secret but doesnt seems to work ,by any chance if we can connect ?
Hi Markus12,
my problems are solved for long now.
I can just give you the hint to make sure, that the app registration user and your own user have the right permissions in FO and in the power platform.
Recently I mostly work on Sandboxes using the Power Platform Integration (LCS).

Hi Franzi
I have the same issue. Did you had some progress or got a solution?
What's the role of your personal user in F&O? Do you have the system administrator? You have set up a Microsoft Entra ID application inside of F&O, right? This will be assigned to a service user and the service user in F&O should probably have the role "Dataverse Virtual entity integration app" formerly known as "CDS Virtual Entity Application". I've mainly used the following blogpost for it: Setting up Virtual Entities for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations in the Common Data Service – Dyanamics Post (dynamicspost.com). But it's from 2020 and Microsoft just loves to rename things...If this doesn't help, you can still open a support ticket, I guess.
Though I have given role it doesn't seem to be work do i need to take care of anything else. @Franzi
The user that you are signed in to the power platform with.
@Franzi thanks for reply personal user as in ?ca you explain on that please and wht if the user has system admin role that doesnt have affect ?
I know this error. In my cases there was usually something wrong with the app registration resp. the associated Entra User - User rights in FO. And your personal user needs at least a Sys-Admin in FO and the "Finance and Operations Integration User" on the power platform side.
